With warmer weather on the rise, festival season has arrived! There are countless numbers of fashionable outfits to wear to festivals. This super chic fringe skirt, with a flowy off the shoulder top, a statement necklace, sunglasses, and sandels is a perfect 70s inspired outfit for a festival.
High waisted jean shorts are still a summer staple and are a go to for any festival. To bring the look together, try pairing the outfit with a classic kimono, a crop top, and cute booties! For the sun, the prefect sun hat and sunglasses will do the trick. A trendy bib necklace and rings, with a small cross body bag will complete the fashionable festival outfit.
For a simple outfit a boho dress, trendy gladiator sandals, sunglasses, and a statement necklace is the way to go for a comfortable, but still fashionable outfit.
Your closet. Whether you love it or hate it, it could definitely use a little love this spring. For those of us who have a shoe addiction and an overstuffed closet comparable to Carrie Bradshaw’s, your closet could use a lot of love. Spring cleaning is the perfect excuse to reorganize your closet and I have some great tips to help you through the clutter.
First things first, I recommend enlisting help whenever you decide to tackle your closet. You need someone who is going to remind you that no, you do not still need that shirt from high school and you cannot hang on to those shoes you wore one time and will never wear again. Your closet needs some tough love. Some items have just got to go, especially if they don’t fit into one of these three categories.
Next, invest in high quality hangers that all match. Although this may seem like an odd tip, you want your closet to look and feel clean and organized. Matching hangers is the finishing touch that your closet needs to seem perfectly put together.
If you really want to give your closet an overhaul, I recommend checking out additional shelving and drawers to be added to your closet. These additions will absolutely give your closet a professional look that will make you (and your closet!) the envy of all your friends.
Once steps 1-3 are all checked off, you’re ready to begin. Start by going through all of your clothing and decide what you want to keep and what you would like to donate or sell. This is where the tough love comes into play: if you haven’t worn an item of clothing in a year, it’s time to retire it. If something doesn’t fit or isn’t your style anymore then why hang on to it? This step will take the longest so play some music and have fun reliving the memories that fill your closet.
Now you’re ready for the reorganization. Hang up the rest of your clothing on those new matching hangers. Be sure that everything has a place and that everything needs to stay in that place from now on. Have a section just for dresses, a section for pants, and a section for tops and so on. My tip for organizing your shoes is by designer or by color, whichever appeals to you most.
Lastly, you can take a step back, admire your hard work and start filling those empty hangers. Check out the latest trends here at Fancy Francy and have fun creating a new style for yourself. After working so hard reorganizing your closet, you deserve to splurge a little. Carrie Bradshaw said it best, “I like my money right where I can see it – hanging in my closet.”
Leave a comment below and let us know how these tips and tricks worked for you! Or tag us in a photo on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter that shows how fabulous your freshly organized closet looks. Good luck!
Spring is here; with that being said you may have a bunch of wedding invites requesting your attendance. Although weddings may be fun, finding an outfit is the tricky part! Pastels are known for spring, but being fresh and vibrant is also the way to go.
A chic pastel collar dress with classic pumps is perfect for a semi- formal wedding! Pair it with simple earrings and a bracelet, along with a small clutch to pull the perfect spring wedding outfit together.
If you are going to a more formal spring wedding a longer fitting pastel dress with stylish heels is perfect. To make your outfit a little more fashionable wear a chunky statement necklace, simple ring, and clutch to match the whole outfit!
Wearing a dress to a spring wedding does not have to be your only option. Try something completely different! A jumper can be worn to a spring wedding if you dress it up elegantly. Tie the whole look together with a heeled sandal, an embellished clutch, paired with stud earrings and a ring.
Don’t worry disco isn’t making a comeback, but the trends of the 1970’s certainly has been heating up the runways of many spring collections. From Valentino to Derek Lam, these major designers have flashed back to this groovy era to create some incredible new looks.
This spring season will be full of wide-leg pants, a fresh new take on the peasant dress and other stylish 70’s looks. Rocking this trend is all about keeping it simple and incorporating subtle hints of the 1970’s into your overall look. Remember, this isn’t a 70’s themed mixer so try and control yourself when falling in love with these bell-bottom jeans all over again.
An easy addition to your wardrobe is the wide-leg pant. This piece is perfect for dressing up a casual day out and great for every trend setter at the office. Try heading to H&M and picking up this sophisticated black pair for only $35. Looking for something more casual? Try these wide leg Rag and Bone jeans from Nordstrom; or this stylish wide leg jumpsuit from Necessary Clothing for a fun stylish weekend look.
Another must have 70’s item is the peasant dress. If you’re looking for a fun and easy-breezy look this summer you can’t go wrong with a peasant dress. These dresses can be dressed up or down and are a comfortable piece that will quickly become a staple in any wardrobe. Dip into this trend with this dress from SWELL for only $50.
Lastly, remember to have fun when experimenting with this new trend. Choose pieces that you love and let your personality and sense of style shine.
Easter may not be a holiday famous for fashion, but it most definitely should be! It’s a time when spring has just arrived and summer is right around the corner. Holidays mean family and friend time, so why wouldn’t you want to look good? You gotta dress to impress this Easter for family, friends, and most importantly, the Easter bunny and with these outfit ideas, it’ll be easy breezy!
Starting off, I absolutely adore this color palette. The blue and orange go so well together and the nude handbag/shoes calm everything down. If it gets a little chilly, just put on a cute, light white cardigan. If dresses aren’t really your thing, this second outfit is perfect for you! With a white loose blouse and a pop of color in the pants, people will be hop-hop-hopping over to ask you where you got this outfit from! The pastel pink and mint green go oh so well together and the brown wedges are just to die for!
Hope everyone who celebrates has a great Easter and let us know in the comments if you have any go to Easter outfits!

Today is officially the first day of spring and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate that spring has finally arrived than by going to a weekend brunch! After finding the best location to brunch at (if you’re in NYC you should check out this place), it’s time to find the perfect outfit! Brunch is all about being casual and comfortable, but still chic and fashionable! For the spring, light and pastel colors are perfect to wear to brunch.
A Diane Von Furstenberg daytime wrap dress is the perfect example of a dress to wear to a spring brunch. Paired with casual heels or sleek boots, this style dress is figure flattering and forgiving. To pull this chic look together add a small clutch and stud earrings!
This second outfit is perfect for those chilly spring days. Wear wide leg pants paired with a simple shirt and light weight boyfriend trench coat to stay warm and cozy while brunching. Tie the whole look together with chunky heels and a small statement bag.

March is finally here, which means winter officially ends on the 19th. Though it may be hard to believe considering the snow and low temperatures still going, the truth is winter coats and essentials will soon be moved out of the closets. With spring right around the corner, it’s time to get your wardrobes ready with the latest spring 2015 trends. Below are 6 key trends for spring 2015 to refresh and revive your wardrobe from winter.
1) Gingham: Sometimes thought of as “the picnic tablecloth pattern” is a huge trend this spring season. It was seen in all different shapes and colors on multiple runways.
2) The Boyfriend Trench: Spring comes with cool breezes here and there so having a lightweight trench coat will be essential to keeping you warm, but comfortable. This season the trench gets “updated” by moving towards a loose fitted silhouette for the spring.
3) Wide-Leg Pants: Bringing back 70s inspired wide-cut pants for spring is in. These pants are very versatile and can be dressed down for the daytime with a simple shirt or dressed up for night with heels and a blouse.
4) Platforms: Platform shoes have reached new heights from the days these shoes were made popular by the Spice Girls. From sneakers to sandals, anything with a platform will be seen all throughout this spring.
5) Mules: Not to be outdone by the platform, mules are also having a serious comeback. Trendy mule style shoes were also seen all over the runway for spring 15. The mule can be worn with both casual and elegant outfits depending on the style of the look.
6) Fringe: Over the years spring and “boho chic” have seen to become synonymous thanks to the surge in festival fashion. Fringe is back (although it kinda never left). Whether it’s on your jacket, skirt, and even shoes, fringe is a spring essential to have this year.
