On hand makeup artist applied the matte foundation to guest while explaining it’s properties and function. The new foundation promises to provide medium coverage while feeling super light weight and controlling excess oil.

In addition to learning about the new foundations, guest tried out their iconic “beach tint” (a lip and cheek cream pigment) and other items from their new summer product line.

1. The launch of the Barry M Gelly polishes has got a lot of bloggers excited and is quickly becoming a go-to varnish. This gorgeous ‘Papaya’ shade is this season’s coral colour, and with staying power of over three days, how can you say no?

2. Looking for a gorgeous lilac colour this season? Topshop’s ‘Parma Violet’ has been a favourite of mine for a while now, and it won’t be going away anytime soon! Its subtle pastel colour will see you through all season and add the perfect pop to any afternoon tea outfit.

3. Make a statement with your nails by painting on Bourjois’ ‘Amande Defile’ pastel green polish. The lightness of this colour gives the illusion your hands are more tanned than they actually are which is perfect for this un-sunny summer we’re having!

4. This No7 ‘Minty Fresh’ is the perfect blue for the summer. Not too dark and not too pale, the wide brush makes for easy application and leaves a glossy finish. What more could you want?

5. Every girl needs a glitter polish in her collection, and Topshop Brazil is my favourite this season. Just add a couple of coats to jazz up your nails for a summer party or night out.

We love this trend because it has such a fun old school vibe to it. Paired with a cropped top and beanie this look is totally a play on the early 90′s; or paired with a cute shirt and shades its the perfect weekend outfit.

I am in desperate need of your help.My mom bought me this beautiful blue high-low chiffon dress for graduation but I want to accessorize it. The thing is… I actually suck at accessorizing. I have no idea about what to do with shoes, jewerly, or a belt. I bought a gold belt from little 5..but I have no idea if it works or not. Would you be able to help me?? Hi Faith -

First off, congratulations on graduating!!! I know graduation is coming up soon so I wanted to give you a written response as quick as possible.

So first things first, I love the fact that you choose a wrap dress to wear, lately I’ve been loving them myself as they are extremely figure flattering and “sexy classy” as I like to call it lol I think it is a good idea to change out the belt that comes with it and put your own to dress it up a bit but I would suggest going with a coral color instead of a gold (the belt I wore in here is exactly the same kind I think would look great with your dress). Coral pink and cobalt blue look excellent together and would be lovely for the occasion.

Try finding a skinny waist belt, preferably one that was a hidden belt buckle or a bow instead of a typical belt buckle (like the one I wore here).

Below are more Coral Belt Options:

If you’re not a fan of coral, a yellow or kelly green belt in the same style I described would also work well with the blue of your dress.

For shoes I would go with a nude sandal with a low heel since you will be walking around during the ceremony. You could also do a coral sandal but that would be a bit too matchy matchy.

For jewelry I would suggest a subtle necklace paired with dangling earrings. Stay away from statement necklaces since you will be wearing a bold belt, you don’t want your necklace to also be bold and attention grabbing. Instead wear a delicate necklace that won’t compete with your belt. If you must wear a statement necklace, definitely make sure it is a short choker style, however I still don’t recommend it. To add a little more glitz to your look, you can wear dangling /chandelier earrings which will not be in direct competition with your belt and will tie the overall look together.

The quickest way to put a smile on someone’s face is simply a new pair of shoes. With many desirable style to choose from, it looks like everyone will be smiling all the way into fall. To showcase this season’s standout shoe favs, they’ve been paired with a celebrity or model who rocked the trend.

Wedges are a appropriate for the coming season. The floral and ankle strap on this pair are perfect and would go great with a flirty dress.

Sandals are part of the classic spring shoe staple. It seems as if the more straps the sandal has, the better it is this season. Experiment with colours and accents. Or you could go for the clean, classic gladiator sandals. Just don’t forget a cute pedicure!

The sneaker wedges is a fun sporty look, perfect for pairing with stylish sweatpants or leggings, for a casual chic look. All popular shoe brands have come out with their own version of the sneaker wedge, including Nike, Puma, and Reebok, along with designers like Marc Jacobs and ASH.

Whether your typical style is ultra feminine or tomboy sexy, the “sporty chic” trend is a fun and casual look to try this spring and summer. Check out our three tips on how to rock this trend.

 

 

1. Find Balance: Pair loose fitting pants with a more fitted shirt or an oversized shirt with a fitted bottom. In this particular example I’m wearing baggy leather sweatpants so to balance out the look, I opted for a fitted tee. Balancing out the proportions of your outfit makes the outfit look purposeful and deliberate instead of sloppy and rushed.

2. Step out of your clothing comfort zone : If you really want to try the trend, don’t be afraid to wear something you wouldn’t usually wear. In this example I’m wearing sweatpants (although leather they are still sweatpants) and sneakers, two items I don’t typically wear.

3. Mix Masculine and Feminine: I love the idea of pairing a sporty or baggy outfit with heels. In this particular example I finished off the look with sneaker wedges but an elegant toe strap shoe would have also looked great!
